Russell, originally from the UK and now based in Victoria, BC, Canada, has a strong background in life sciences with experience in academic research and the biotech industry. Specializing in spectrometry technology, he has contributed to the development of applications in organic chemistry and biological/environmental science. Notably, he served as a Senior Global Service, Support & Development Engineer at Waters Corporation, a Project Scientist at SGS, and worked on the 'Treenomix Project' with Genome Canada. Russell holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Victoria, an M.Sc. from the University of British Columbia, and a B.Sc. from the University of Exeter. Outside of work, he is an outdoor and winter sports enthusiast, long-distance runner, rock music fanatic, and sci-fi buff.
