Sean is the CEMS Program Manager for the Environmental Solutions team. He manages a team of expert project managers, field engineers, and regulatory specialists providing clients with a full suite of CEMS support.      

Sean has been in the emissions monitoring industry his entire career, gaining valuable experience across multiple industries. Starting his career as a source tester, he received QSTI certifications for Groups I-IV, as well as QI certifications for FTIR methodologies. His projects spanned across the nation, conducting complex test methodologies in every industrial setting imaginable.     

From there, he took a position at the nation’s largest refiner, playing a critical role in revamping their quality assurance program and drastically reducing downtime.     

He eventually made the jump to environmental consulting, where he sat as a Subject Matter Expert for CEMS and Source Testing with Trinity Consultants. His primary duties consisted of being an intermediary between clients and local/state regulatory bodies, monitoring plan development, permit interpretation, reporting, DAS review, and source test forensics.     

Sean learned about Picarro during a high-profile Section 114 request issued by US EPA. His review of previous test reports showed that legacy methods would not provide sufficient data for his client – leading him to reach out to the Picarro team. From the moment he saw Picarro's technology and data acquisition system, he knew it was the future of emissions monitoring - and the rest is history.
